Treyarch continues to constantly launch new updates and content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The developer has given fans an overview of what's coming up for the popular shooter this week, including a weekend event with double XP in the three game modes. New multiplayer and Blackout playlists for the PS4 version, and more.
Starting February 14, Treyarch is starting a Valentine's weekend with Quad Feeds. Throughout the weekend, players will get double XP and XP weapon in multiplayer mode, double XP and nebulous plasma in Zombies, and double Merits in Blackout combat mode. . The event is scheduled to end at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on Tuesday, February 19.
Prior to that, Treyarch will release two special modes on PS4 on February 12. The first is the Deathmatch playlist of the Arms Race Team for the multiplayer, which will reward players with 150 points, instead of the usual 100, for each enemy killed. Blackout, meanwhile, will have another version of Close Quarters Frenzy. The collapse occurs even more quickly in this mode, and the only weapons you will find are SMG, shotguns, pistols and Bowie knives.
Speaking of Blackout, it seems that Treyarch has something big planned for the mode. On Twitter, the official Call of Duty account shared a short cryptic video with a map of Blackout's map (below). The map is then marked with numerous red X's, topped with a large one in the lower right corner of the map. Treyarch has not shared any additional information on what this means, but it seems to suggest that some important adjustments will be made to the map in the near future.
Finally, Treyarch mocks that you'll get a preview of "new content that will hit all the modes in our next Operation" this week. The study did not provide more details beyond that, but we are likely to learn more when we share the full notes of the patch for this week's update on February 12.
