In this September 26, 2016 photo released by NBC, co-host Billy Bush appears on the "Today" program in New York. Bush says he is "embarrbaded and embarrbaded" by a 2005 conversation he had with Donald Trump in which Trump made lascivious comments about women. Bush, then host of the entertainment news program "Access Hollywood," was chatting with Trump while the businessman waited to make a special appearance in a soap opera. In a statement on Friday, October 7, Bush says he was younger and less mature when the incident occurred, adding that "he acted stupidly when playing with him." (Peter Kramer / NBC via AP)

Billy Bush says he "dodged a bullet," but his recent images on social media paint a different image. The star revealed that he had to go to the hospital after being hit with a golf ball.

On Monday, the former host of "Hoy" published three images in his Instagram images that showed him recovering in the hospital.

"FORE !!", wrote in the foot of the image. "Thanks nurse Katrina, jovi, Jenn, Mercy @cedarsina for the bed, the care, the ice, I think I dodged a bullet … but unfortunately not a golf ball, the scanning is clear, let the jokes start #putmedownforpar . "

It seems that the former television personality was hitting the links when a lost ball took him by surprise. As TMZ points out, the photos seem to have Bush in two different shirts, which makes the store speculate that he was there during the night for some reason. However, that was not confirmed. In any case, the star herself reports that everything is fine with him and does not appear to have any visible cuts or bruises from the incident.

Bush's messages come almost two months after it was announced that he and his wife of almost 20 years, Sydney Davis, were separating.

"After almost 20 years of marriage, they have separated for the time being to evaluate their life together," a Bush representative told Fox News at the time. "They love each other and their children deeply and are committed to a bright future."
