The Minnesota twins fell in the ninth inning on Tuesday afternoon, and at least one baseball fan couldn’t be happier.
The Houston Astros rallied in the ninth inning to defeat the Twins 4–1 in the first round of their AL playoff series, resulting in a $ 625,000 payout to a bettor in Mississippi.
Astro wins after running twice
The Astros loaded bases on Twins reliever Sergio Romeo, and took a quick lead after being forced twice in a go-ahead run by Joseph Altuve.

An error by Twins shortstop Jorge Polanco led the inning, and Michael Brantley then won by three runs after hitting a single. The loss marked Minnesota in 17th straight in the postseason.
“These people know how to fight. They know what it is like,” Astros manager Dusty Baker said through The Associated Press. “They know how to win, and are proud of what they do.”
The Astro now need just one more win to pull out of the new wild-card series, which they can do on Wednesday afternoon.
Although a Mississippi fan was on the edge of the seat during the wild ending in Mississippi, he ended the day with an incredible defeat.
We’ll see if they let it ride on Wednesday.
