Awards season offers a rare glimpse into the lives of the stars this year, or at least their living rooms.
The Golden Globes ceremony is usually held at the Beverly Hilton hotel, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, only Amy Poehler received at the California location on Sunday for the 2021 ceremony, while co-host Tina Fey maintained the fort from the Rainbow Room in New York City.
Other stars called from their living rooms, hotels, and even friends’ homes, like Jason Bateman, which was broadcast from the home of his best friend Jennifer Aniston.

Near Los Angeles
Bill Murray stole the night in a tropical Hawaiian button down shirt, martini in hand, with what appears to be the Los Angeles skyline behind him. A large tree and a green lawn extend from a wall with a window behind him.
Fans wanted to know more about the sprawling property in the background, but that remains a mystery. Property records only show that the 70-year-old “On the Rocks” actor owns homes in Malibu and Valley Center, south of Los Angeles. However, none of these properties appear to have views of Los Angeles.

Jennifer Aniston House in Bel Air, California
Jason Bateman was nominated for best performance by an actor in a television drama series, and he recorded at the Golden Globes from the home of his friend Jennifer Aniston, his Instagram story shows.
Aniston’s library has dark brown built-in wooden shelves with recessed lighting featuring books and knickknacks in a curated red color palette.
From behind a ring light, Bateman’s laptop is seen resting on a stack of books atop a beautiful round wooden table. She sits in Aniston’s tufted chairs, and under her feet is a faded blue and white Anastasia rug.
Also on the table are a flower arrangement and photos of Aniston’s own family, including photos of her parents and one of her dogs. Aniston’s library also has a Lindsey Adelman branched bubble chandelier, a Robert Motherwell painting, and a Jean Royère polar bear sofa, according to an Architectural Digest report.
Aniston’s InstaStory also shows her boyfriend Will Speck using a paint-by-number frog paint canvas as a bounce card for the 52-year-old “Ozark” star and her two daughters, Francesca, 14, and Maple, from 9. Speck, Aniston. and Bateman are known for their collaboration on Paramount’s 2016 film “Office Christmas Party.”
Aniston, 52, bought her 8,500-square-foot, $ 21 million Bel Air home in 2011. It has small Asian-inspired gardens, terraces, city and ocean views, and an outdoor pool. His home is designed with warm wood, stone, and bronze, according to the listing.
Kate hudson
Pacific Palisades, California, home
Hudson, 41, was nominated for best actress in a musical or comedy film for her role in Sia’s controversial “Music.”
Although Rosamund Pike won the Golden Globe for her performance in “I Care a Lot,” it was Hudson’s couch that stole the stage.
The beautiful embroidered sofa features tree branches, birds, and red and gold flowers.
Hudson’s mother, Goldie Hawn, 75, and at least a dozen other friends and family piled on the couch with her during the ceremony.
Green velvet curtains hang in the background and a projector screen hangs off-camera, so Hudson could see the Balloons.
Hudson appears to have broadcast from his 6,431-square-foot, five-bedroom, five-bathroom home in Pacific Palisades, California. Hudson’s house is right next to the house he grew up in with his mother. The English country-style home has a garden, pool, playhouse, and canyon views, according to the Realtor.com listing.
Anya Taylor-Joy
Los Angeles hotel
Anya Taylor-Joy won Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television Award for her hit Netflix show “The Queen’s Gambit.”
But Taylor-Joy is famous for being “homeless,” and in fact filmed her Golden Globe appearances from an unspecified hotel room in Los Angeles, where she is filming a new David O. Russell movie. (Rumor has it that her fiancé Eoin Macken also lives in Los Angeles.)
Photos from her stylist’s Instagram reveal that this is an Old Hollywood-style hotel with green art deco patterned rugs and ornate wrought iron handrails. Massive red marble pillars topped with decorative gold capitals flank a curtained stage, and tall windows and ceiling-high mirrors extend to vaulted ceilings.
Inside the dimly lit hotel room, Taylor-Joy sat on a white sofa with a houndstooth pillow. Behind her was an art deco mirror surrounded by a four-layer wooden frame.
A gray table with a crisscross fabric front supports a simple table lamp with a semi-transparent base and a white shade. A large, leafy plant stretched out on Taylor-Joy’s plane along with a bouquet of white roses.
Tiffany, who supplied Taylor-Joy’s jewelry, also took a look at the hotel room, displaying views of the Los Angeles skyline on a rooftop balcony or terrace.
Taylor simone ledward
House of angels
Simone Ledward, the wife of the late Chadwick Boseman, accepted her Golden Globe Award for best actor in a dramatic film on his behalf. The 43-year-old “Black Panther” star died of colon cancer in August.
He sat on a white velvet sofa next to a white pillow patterned with soft flowers. Three modern paintings in gold frames hung behind her, matching her gold dress perfectly. Next to her sat a paved wooden table with a black and gold lamp, the photos show.
Ledward is originally from Los Angeles, and the couple lived there until Boseman passed away this summer. It is unclear whether he joined the awards ceremony from his own home or from elsewhere.
