Yes, a relatively lightweight 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM gives us pause here. But you’re still powered by a capable 15-inch Asus GTX 1650 Ty graphics card – not too shabby for $ 600.
Here we have the same concerns as above, in terms of tight RAM and SSD specs. But it’s $ 50 less than a PS5 or Xbox Series X, both of which you won’t get this season. The deal is no longer available online, but can be found in stores.

The Dell G5 15 earned our Editors’ Choice for budget gaming laptops late last year. It offers excellent performance for the money, and its battery life is not terrible like most gaming laptops. Discounted by $ 150, the model features a 10th-gen Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics. The 15.6-inch display has a Full HD (1,920×1,080-pixel) resolution and a fast 120Hz refresh rate, but only rated for 250 nits brightness. Read our Dell G5 15 review.
It is a 15.6-inch Pavilion model, sold directly from HP, alleviating our RAM and SSD concerns. It offers 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD with 10GB-gen Core i7 CPU. And it’s customizable, so you can spend a reasonable $ 30 more to upgrade the display to a Full HD panel. There is also a free upgrade of 512GB SSD with 32GB of Speed Opten memory.
This is not a gaming PC, so the glasses are a lot more useful for everyday needs. And it still has a capable Intel Core i5 and flip-around 360 touchscreen, too.

Important to note: This is not a sale on the new M1 MacBook Air, which showed impressive results in our first-round tests. It is an Intel-based Air that was brought back in March. This means that it will not be as fast and the battery will not last that long. But it will run the ultimate Big Sur operating system and it can be yours for $ 200 compared to the latest model.
This is a high-powered configuration by Chromebook standards. You will neither get any budget CPU nor allocation of RAM here. This HP Chromebook has a Core i3 processor and 8GB of memory. And the 14-inch display can rotate all the way into tablet mode and features a Full HD (1,920×1,080-pixel) resolution, where most Chromebooks only supply 768p panels.
A Windows laptop at a Chromebook price. This 15.6-inch laptop runs Windows 10 and features a Core i5 CPU, 12GB RAM and 256GB SSD. At its price, we would expect 4GB of RAM as well as a Core i3 chip, so this budget model is definitely above its weight. The display, sadly, has only 1,366×768 resolution.
If you are of a certain age, you may remember the name Gateway and its computers, which were shipped in black-and-white cow-print boxes. The Gateway is back at Walmart as a line of low-cost laptops and tablets. You will not find any models on store shelves in their iconic cow packaging; The new Gateway laptops are available online only. This 14-inch gateway laptop has a 10th-gen Intel Core i5 CPU and 16 GB of RAM. You get a 256GB solid-state drive for storage. Storage capacity is average for the price, but double the amount of memory that is usually on offer. And you get a full HD (1,920×1,080-pixel) display, which is better than the 1,366×768-pixel panel found on other budget laptops. There is also a fingerprint reader for easy, secure login. At the moment, all four color options are in stock and on sale – black, blue, green and rose gold.

Microsoft’s MacBook clone is slim and lightweight with a stunning touchpad and keyboard combo and provides a remarkable power boost on the Surface Laptop 2 of 2018. This Surface Laptop 3 model features a 10th-gen Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus graphics, and 256GB SSD. The biggest downside was the shorter battery life than CNET, but it’s less of a problem when you’re not getting it out of your house. Read our Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 review.
