The Bears signed kicker Elliott Fry with a three-year contract on Friday, the team announced.
He joins Redford Jones and Chris Blewitt on the list when the Bears try to replace Cody Parkey. Chicago coached Caleb Sturgis, Younghoe Koo and Nick Rose earlier this week.
Fry, 24, played four seasons in South Carolina from 2013 to 16 and spent this spring with the Orlando Apollos in the now defunct Football Alliance. He converted the 14 field goals he made with the Apollos, with a length of 44 yards.
Fry kept walking in South Carolina and went as the all-time leading scorer of the school with 359 points.
