The case of the explosion at the Shibir office in Chittagong



In Chittagong, a case was filed against 87 people including President and Secretary of Chittagong City Shibir in connection with the explosion and recovery of badtails at the Islami Chhatra Shibir office. On Saturday (November 3rd), the sub-inspector (SI) Anisur Rahman of the city's Chakbazar Police filed the case with the accused.

Chakbazar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nizam Uddin told reporters that a case was filed under special power and explosives law. In the case, 52 people including the president and secretary of Metropolitan Northern Shibir have been mentioned. Anonymous 30-35 more people have been accused.

Police said the explosion occurred at Al-Isra Bhaban in Chandanpura DC Road in Chakbazar thana of the city on Saturday evening. After the explosion, police recovered six badtails and bomb making equipment after the operation.
