Actress Meera Furlan, who played Minbadi Ambassador Deleon in the sci-fi drama series Babylon 5, He died on 20 January. She was 65 years old.
Furlan’s death was announced by Furlan’s Twitter account and confirmed Babylon 5 Producer J. Michael Straczynski, who paid tribute to the accomplished actress.
“It is a night of great sorrow, for our friend and comrade had gone down the road where we could not reach it,” he wrote. “Meera was a nice and kind woman, a talented talented artist and a friend to everyone in the Babylon 5 cast and crew, and we were all devastated by this news.
Born in the Croatian capital Zagreb in 1955, Furlan was a well-known, award-winning theater, film and TV actress in former Yugoslavia. She has acted in numerous plays, TV series and films, including Amir Kasturika’s Pam D-Winner and the Oscar-nominated 1985 film When father was away from business.
