In Vienna-Liesing on Monday evening came to an accident with driver's escape. Around 6:05 pm, a two-year-old child ran off the sidewalk onto the carriageway of Triester Strbade and was hit by a car driving into the city.
The toddler was knocked to the ground and seriously injured. The currently unknown driver of the white KIA-Cee'd braked only briefly, but then continued her journey without stopping to help the severely injured girl.
The two-year-old was taken to a Viennese hospital, seriously injured. Fortunately, it does not hover in mortal danger.
The traffic accident command of the Vienna police has taken over the investigation. Notes, witnesses or information about the currently unknown driver (about 40-50 years old), who was probably traveling at the time of the accident with a white KIA-Cee'd (5-door) with Vienna license plate, will be sent to the Vienna Transport Department under the Telephone number 01-31310-32481 or extension 32482 requested.
