The company said on Tuesday that Apple had named Monica Lozano, the CEO of the College Futures Foundation, after herself.

Prior to his role as CEO of the College Futures Foundation, Lozano worked as an editor and publisher in La Opinion, the largest Spanish-language paper in America. He also served as president and CEO of the paper’s parent company, ImpreMedia and currently serves on the board of Target and Bank of America. She is a former board member of the Walt Disney Company.

This appointment brings Apple’s total board of directors to eight.

“Lezano brings a wide range of leadership experience in the public and private sectors, as well as a long and in-store track record as a champion for equity, opportunity and representation,” Apple said on Tuesday.
