Update : now available!
As we approach the new year, Apple has two promises to fulfill: the iMac Pro and Amazon Prime Video for Apple TV. While everything has been silent about the first, it seems that we are finally approaching an Amazon Prime Video release for Apple TV …
As noted by the Spanish news site Apple Applesfera, Apple seems to prepare the App Store for the launch of Amazon Prime Video for Apple TV. The company mistakenly published the previous story in the App Store, promoting support for Apple TV in the Amazon Prime Video application:
We love Amazon Prime. For $ 99 a year, we get a super fast delivery (until the same day!), A large selection of free eBooks and early access to the main savings. Now, we can also relax and watch some of the best entertainment with Amazon Prime Video on Apple TV. The elegant service is packed with excellent movies, television sneakers and even Thursday Night Football.
Separately, a Reddit user also reported that by setting the date and time of his iPhone until December 6, the Amazon Prime Video story briefly appeared in the App Store, but Apple seems to have closed that gap.
As I said, my time / date is set for tomorrow. That's relevant because I saw the story at the top of the "Today" tab when I opened the App Store. This is how I got the link.
Either way, this means we'll probably see the Amazon Prime Video application presentation for Apple TV sometime this week, and tomorrow will be the earliest. We are likely to receive an official announcement from Amazon and Apple every time that happens.
Apple originally promised support for Amazon Prime Video on Apple TV at WWDC, promoting that the application would be available by the end of the year. We are only a few weeks away from 2018, so Apple and Amazon are sure to close it here. Are you excited about Amazon Prime Video on Apple TV? Let us know in the comments!
