Apple shared four short commercials on Thursday promoting Apple Pay Cash, the person-to-person payment solution company that allows users to send money to friends, family and other parties with a message of text.
15-second ads are part of a new series of ads called "Just send them a text message with money" which, as its title implies, focuses on the integration of Apple Pay Cash with Messages.
Speed and ease of use are the main themes in Apple's latest advertising impulse. Each commercial shows what a message conversation is supposed to be in real time, with familiar blue and gray text bubbles appearing on the screen as they would on iOS or Mac. There is no accompanying track, only the badigned default notification sound to incoming and outgoing messages.
The ads suggest that Apple Pay Cash is a quick and easy-to-use alternative to sometimes messy P2P systems that require users to log in and perform transactions from a standalone application or web interface. Direct integration in Messaging and continuous authentication with Face ID or Touch ID means that Apple Pay Cash users can send or request money without leaving the messaging interface.
An ad shows how roommates can send cash to cover the rent, while another shows a mother sending money to her children after they send them a picture of an empty refrigerator.
A third ad features two friends, one of whom got tickets to the big game. They can suggest a specific amount in dollars, in this case $ 250, which is detected by the data detectors in the application, which allows the other user to simply touch to send the desired funds.
Finally, a fourth announcement highlights a more advanced Apple Pay Cash feature that allows users to request money from a second person. In the ad, a user loses a shirt they borrowed from a friend and tries to compensate by sending them $ 15. The item is actually worth $ 160, so the second user sends a request for $ 145, which can be paid by touching "Pay "inside the Apple Pay Cash text bubble.
Initially scheduled for release on iOS 11 last September, Apple Pay Cash was delayed more than two months before it reached the US iPhones and iPads. UU In December.
The person-to-person payment tool has Messaging and Siri integration, which allows users to send money between them. The money received can be used for Apple Pay purchases or transferred from an Apple Pay Cash card to a bank account.
