Another very deep immersion in the very rare social networks of Tom Brady, the Buffalo Bills edition

Thank God that the Patriots won on Sunday. I say it every week when New England gets the W because I'm a fan of the Patriots, but this week's reason went beyond regional pride and deep and inexplicable fandom. This time, the only thing that mattered to me was getting another edition of the TB Times the cartoon newspaper that Tom Brady Tom Brady, member of Social Media, publishes on Instagram of the marshal's Facebook of field after a victory.

Last week, you see, I immersed myself in a deep dive on the Internet to try to discover what these cartoons could mean. I discovered that there is a crocodile called Croc that keeps appearing, but I have no idea what he represents, and I have become obsessed with deciphering it.

My friend Doug Kyed, a NESN reporter in Foxboro, made me a solid comment and asked Brady about this at a press conference last Friday:

asked Tom Brady about the crocodile that keeps popping up in TB Times. He says we will discover the connection and the story at the end of the year. It keeps us waiting.

I do not have a functional theory that satisfies me. Readers have suggested that Croc represents everything from the "crocodile tears" (inauthentic emotion manifestations). Those who hate Brady have accused him of crying, his wife Gisele Bunchen, Bill Belichick, the shoe company Crocs. You guys are getting into that, especially a guy named Thom who sent me this and probably should relax:

"Brady is releasing a derivative version of" Crocs "with a name based on Alligator (understood?) – Aaron's spirit Hernandez, a Florida Gator, lives with Brady forever because Tom was the one who committed those atrocious acts while the Patriots organization framed Hernandez, less vital to the murders. "

Someone in the comments last week also suggested that Brady might be a tribute to the original illustrator of the Patriots program, Phil Bissell, and if he looks for pictures, that makes a lot of sense.

I think Belichick as Croc is convincing, but that does not explain why Croc had dreadlocks last week. Also, this week Belichick appears in the foreground of the cartoon and Croc is in the background, which makes Belichick less likely. Because when someone asks, "Well, has anyone ever seen Belichick and Croc in the same room together?" It's like, yes, we have. Here.

I think Croc probably represents something more metaphorical than physical, but I'm still not ready to say what it is. However, save shipments:

Now, let's get into this week's edition:

This unique caricature makes more sense than last week, which seemed like something someone on mushrooms that just dived out. The Patriots beat the Bills this week, so the image above shows a bunch of Bills lined up for an audition, since Belichick tells Brady he's not impressed.

But just because there is some method in this madness does not mean that there is not much madness too. The Bills shown here are those of the varieties Gates, Murray, Hader, Crystal and Will Smith.

I'm not sure these are the first famous bills I would have thought to represent. Interestingly, though, when Google "Famous Invoices", one of the first articles to appear is this from Ranker. And the first bills that they list are:

  • Bill Clinton (too political, and also everything about Patriots-Trump in which no we are going to enter at this moment).
  • Bill Murray ✅
  • Billy Crystal ✅
  • Billy Joel (my theory is that Billy Joel sings "Movin & # 39; Out" and "Only the Good Die Young" and "New York State of Mind", the risk of fans seeing this as a sign that Brady is leaving the Patriots was too big)
  • Bill Cosby (super is not an option anymore)
  • Bill Gates ✅
  • Bill O & # 39; Reilly (It's not an option any more and too political anyway)
  • And then about five or six "Williams" later we come to …
  • … Bill Hader ✅

All these cartoons are signed DK, and anyone that DK seems to rely a lot on the Internet to create these cartoons. Or maybe it's the mysterious guy from the social networks who does not want to be named (who will be called S.M.G from now on), who then tells D.K. to draw

When it comes to how bills are represented, I have some answers and some questions.

I grew up in the films of Bill Murray and in all his SNL parodies (thanks, dad), so I could tell immediately that the bathrobe belonged to the DVD poster / cover / hotel room scene of Lost in Translation:

Story Tells:

This is not the first image I would have chosen for Bill Murray. I would have gone with something more iconic: Steve Zissou from The Life Aquaric Carl from Caddyshack Phil from Groundhog Day or even Walt Bishop at Moonrise Kingdom wearing madras pants and without a shirt ("I'll be outside, I'll find a tree to fell") before reaching this bad point (that's right, I said it) Sofia Coppola film.

But that made me think: if D.K. or S.M.G. simply searched Google for "famous invoices" to create famous Invoices, they probably just searched Google for each individual Bill to find pictures of it. So I looked for Bill Murray in Google images and, of course, the image above appeared in one of the first two rows.

Then I looked at Bill Gates, and indeed, one of the first images that appeared was this:

What looks a lot like Gates's drawing in the TB Times : [19659033] This photo comes from an article by Forbes published in August about how Gates joined Instagram while in Tanzania. But the photo is from a press conference where Gates showed a Motorola that runs Microsoft software in 2006, according to the caption. Someone should also tell D.K. or S.M.G. that just because Gates had a version of a BlackBerry eleven years ago does not mean that they can not take an artistic license with art and make it hold, say, a droid. Or, I do not know, nothing. He does not have to be holding anything. The world is your oyster when you are the creator of TB Times .

Anyway, my Google theory encountered some problems when it comes to the image of Bill Hader. This is the one that baffles me the most, because I can not understand where it comes from. I went through the whole story of Hader's IMDB and searched for the images of every movie and TV show he's been on and I still can not find it.

This is what my search history looked like after this frustrating exercise, which I'm just ashamed to say took about 45 minutes:

I do not know if this means that the image does not exist and the Bill decided to take a license artistic with Hader (which would be weird), or if I just can not find it. In any case, it looks very flirtatious. Let's get close for a moment, because he's really looking at Bill and Tom in that bady blouse:

If anyone knows where that image is, please let me know.

I think this could be the picture they used for Billy Crystal, but with his hands up:

Type of work, right?

Now it's time for Will "Bill" Smith. Yes, in the fourth row of Google images there is this:

which became this:

What answers my main question, why does Will Smith have a mustache here?

I made you go through this treat me because I want to suggest that the TB Times might not be as well thought out as we think it is. In some ways, I think they probably contain many cryptic images. But in others, I think we're reading too much. For example, there may be no rhyme or reason why Croc had dreadlocks last week. It could be that D.K. or S.M.G thought it would be fun, or that somewhere in the depths of Google is a picture of a crocodile with dreadlocks.

I also wanted to dissipate with the idea that any of these invoices contain messages. I'm pretty sure they're just random, as determined by a Google search. Except for Bill Hader, there is not a clue of what is happening there.

That leads us to the real cryptic, which is in this case the hand of Billy Crystal and the key in Croc … ¿pata? Claw? I came across the problem of how to call Croc's hands last week, too. I will go with claw.

You will notice that Billy Crystal is participating in the Circle Game. This is a small joke we used to play in elementary school. If you can get someone to look at your hand while doing that gesture, you have to hit them. You would be like, "look at this pen" and your friend would look at your hand, but instead of a pen you would be making a circle with your fingers, and then you could end up and catch your friend in the arm. Looking back, I wonder how any of us matured enough to stay alive.

In other news: Billy Crystal hits us all now.

Here is my favorite theory about this caricature that someone called CJ sent me: [19659049] Hi,

I think it's a crocodile … and it says "crocodile later"

As this is his tour of farewell.

CJ

Unfortunately, I think CJ is wrong. I think the key is a reference to the fact that Croc has the keys to who or what he represents. If any of this is a direct message to those of us, like me, who have been obsessed with figuring out what's going on with the TB Times I think this is it. Maybe it's an answer to the various emails I've sent to asktombrady@gmail.com.

I just realized that there is an email address under the image of Tom Brady as a psychic on the cover of the TB Times since week 2, so I sent it by email. IT DID NOT RETURN! I'll keep you informed if I hear pic.twitter.com/KC8Rir4b5q

Or maybe nobody in Brady's camp knows what they are doing here and he has no idea what Croc represents and they are now too deep.

Really. Maybe this started as a joke, that Crystal's hand could be a wink, to see to what extent the Patriots fans would go blindly before they started to question how strange Brady's social networks were. And maybe now the TB12 camp is cornered because so many of us worry so much, so they're trying to take away the smell and wait for the moment while they come up with a satisfactory response. Perhaps the key represents the fact that both S.M.G. and D.K. will remain locked in the basement of a TB12 training center with only lentils for sustenance until they find one.

Only time will tell. For now, all I know is that if the Patriots do not win all the games from now on I will be devastated, and it will have nothing to do with football.
