The same footage is available on Shutterstock by a user of the same name, whose profile links to the Facebook page of Konstantin Mikidov, which lists his location in Siberia as the Russian city of Novosibirsk. He did not respond to requests for comment sent via his Pond5 and Facebook accounts.
Two seconds later in the ad, an elderly woman is seen staring out of a window as if the phrase “HIGHER TAXES ON MIDDLE CLASS RETIREMENT” appears on the screen. This footage, titled “Old Woman Looking Out The Window Stock Video”, is marketed for $ 60 on iStockphoto. There are also other words that come with the footage on that website: “Belarus, senior adults, depression – sadness, grief, loneliness.”
The creator of that footage is “Zdyma4”. A user by that name keeps a profile on the stock footage website Dreamstime and lists the name “Viachaslau Rutkoski”. Rutkowski has a LinkedIn profile, stating that he is a photographer in Belarus and also uses Zudma4 as a name. He did not respond to a request for comment.
America First Action is headed by former head of small business administration Linda McMahon and her husband Vince McMahon, co-founding professional wrestling company WWE. As of August 31, the group had raised $ 82 million for the 2020 cycle.
“We also used video footage taken in China in several advertisements,” said Kelly Sadler, a spokesperson for America First. She offered a link to speak to Obama’s White House video on US-China relations at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China, when he was vice president in August 2011, and a US First ad featuring footage of Biden in China.
