Allegheny Co. The Health Department reported more than 100 coronavirus cases, bringing the county-wise total to more than 11,000, and the death toll reached 360 – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department is reporting 100 new coronovirus cases and two additional deaths out of 1,134 test results this Friday.

Of today’s 100 cases, 98 have been confirmed and two are probable.

The health department says that new cases range in age from 4 months to 94 years. Positive tests are dated 24 August through sept 10.

The county has a total of 11,069 cases since March.

The Health Department says that they have now started counting all positive antigen tests as possible cases.

Allegheny County has 1,053 hospitals since the outbreak began. Of all hospitalized patients, 276 required care in the ICU, and 104 of them required treatment with ventilators.

The death toll is 360. Both recent deaths are linked to a long-term care facility. In addition, both patients were in their 80s with dates of deaths of 23 August and 31 August.

Health officials say 161,680 individuals have been tested for COVID-19 in the county.
