The actor created a furore on social media platforms on Monday over claims of his wife having a Spanish heritage.

“It’s something that I take very seriously, and people who are asking – I repeat my story, as I’ve done many times before,” she said in a video on her Instagram account. “I was born in Boston and spent time with my family between Massachusetts and Spain. My parents and siblings live in Spain and I chose to live in the USA.”

Alec Baldwin was seen defending his wife in a lengthy video posted on his verified Instagram account, in which he talked about social media.
