At a reception Saturday night in Mar-a-Lago, the party will present Trump with a framed resolution awarding him the honor.
“The resolution basically just talks about the greatness of Donald J. Trump, how he made America great again and I hope other states will follow suit,” Perry Hooper Jr., former state representative and member of the state party executive committee, said Fox News.
Members of the state Republican Party voted unanimously on the resolution, which states that “President Trump put the American people and the American worker first in all his decisions.”
Trump’s accomplishments cited in the document include his success with Operation Warp Speed, his withdrawal from the “job-ending Paris Climate Accord” and his appointment of “three constitutionally conservative judges.”
“It’s just recognizing him for all the great things he’s done for America to bring American manufacturing back, cut taxes, create the best economy ever, strengthen our military,” added Hooper, who also served as Alabama co-chair of the Trump’s campaign in 2016, according to Fox News.

The Alabama Republican Party did not immediately respond to The Hill’s request for comment.
