WASHINGTON (AP) – The US Forces Network will air the NFL conference championship games despite the federal government's closure.
There was some question about access to military games outside the US UU After AFN posted a message on its Facebook page on Saturday it said that its services would not be available due to closure. The network broadcasts American radio and television programs in Europe and other places outside the US UU
But White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders posted on her Twitter account on Sunday that the AFN had been restored. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy also tweeted that the games would be on the network and called it "great news."
New England faces Jacksonville in the AFC championship, and Minnesota faces Philadelphia in the NFC championship.
