The talent agency has also hired three other literary agents from Paradigm: Martin Spencer, Antoine Kaczmarek and Casey Murazko.
A3 Artist Agency has added another four former Paradigm Talent Agency to its ranks, with Valerie Phillips as partner and co-head of its motion pictures literary division.
The Hollywood talent and literary agency also hired Martin Spencer as an agent in the film literary division, and rode Antoine Kaczmarek and Casey Murazko as agents in its TV literary department. Philips arrives on the A3 after nearly two decades as part of its motion picture and TV literary divisions.
“While many agencies are unfortunately suffering from these terrible days of pandemics, the A3 continues to develop and build in a smart and authentic way. “I am thrilled to work with Robert Atterman, Brian Chow and Adam Bold and to work with my friends and trusted former colleagues Andy Patman and Adam Kanter,” Phillips said in a statement.
In July, A3 launched a literary division, killing Patman and Kanter on the mercenary of the former paradigm, who became fellow and co-head of Philips – content for motion pictures. Phillips is joining the Hollywood talent agency that bought the 41-year-old firm from Harry Abrams in 2018 by Etterman, CEO Cho and Chairman Bold, CEO of A3 artists, earlier this year.
Aterman said in his statement, “With Valerie helping to lead our literary team, A3 continues to develop and operate.
As veteran Hollywood agents continue to leave older firms for new agencies, Spencer joins A3 Paradigm, where he worked as a literary agent and previously spent 27 years at CAA, where he came through the mailroom . Kaczmarek also comes on A3 from Paradigm, as did Muraszko, who began his entertainment career in 2015 at Paradigm.
Phillips, Spencer, Kaczmarek and Murczko will be based out of Los Angeles.
