A new ‘Pet Sematary’ movie is in the works for Paramount +


the Paramount + The streaming service will get a huge boost from exclusive horror content as it’s not just the new Paranormal activity film that debuts there, but so is a new installment in the Pet Sematario franchise! The deadline informs that an “origin story” is being prepared.

Jeff Buhler, who wrote the 2019 adaptation, is also writing the new movie.

Nothing is known about the details of the plot yet, but the movie will presumably tell a new story set in the world of Stephen King‘s Pet Sematario. So far, the novel has been adapted twice for the big screen, first by Mary Lambert in 1989 and then by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer in 2019. Mary Lambert also directed a sequel to it. Pet clerk, which was released in 1992.

The 2019 movie made an impressive $ 113 million at the box office on a $ 21 million production budget, so it’s obvious that Paramount is returning to Pet Sematary.

Of course, the titular locality has the power to bring the dead back to life …
