A meeting with security, a delay in the weather and a late charge: Tiger's wild day in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Tiger Woods looked down after some missed opportunities at Amen Corner to make a serious move on the leaders after a short delay in the weather. Then he hit him – literally. With Woods in the middle of the pines on the left side of No. 14, a security guard, trying to keep his customers, ran with Woods and slid toward him. Tigre limped away. A fright averted, Tiger seemed fine.

Was he ever? He looked at the number 14, then he published another number 15. It was a full day, complete, sometimes chaotic, in the second round of the Masters at the Augusta National Golf Club.

You do not believe it? Just follow and see how it all happened in the second round of Tiger, which allows you to enter the weekend, one behind the leaders:

Before the chaos began …

Tiger Woods, with the appearance of the dentist today, goes to the first tee. None of the leaders outside him has driven the pace. It still has to be a bit more aggressive than the first round on Thursday. A number that starts with a "6" should be today's goal.

Tiger Woods' shot through the trees at No. 14 is well-placed, but he becomes entangled with a security guard after his swing. Tiger would continue to drain a birdie putt.

Tiger stung his tee shot at No. 1 on Thursday. Not so much on Friday. He had to climb from the trees on the left in the second round to get an 8 foot foot to save the pair. This was the distance from which he fought on Thursday. He drills his first test of the day in the center of the cup for a much needed pair to start the day.

The strategy is critical around Augusta National. After a good trip, Tiger made a mistake with his second hole in the second par 5. With the pbader in front on the right, Woods cut himself and could not go up and down. Frustrating when you pair in par 5s around here.

It could be the first sign of his approach today: Tiger went big with No. 3, hitting the drive near the green. He could not get the complicated tone to the green near the hole and had to settle for a pair of two putts. Even until three o'clock in the day, he goes to the ultra-hard numbers 4 and 5.

For the second day in a row, Tiger Woods registers a pair on the first hole.

Tiger could not become the first three holes, but he gets a birdie in No. 4. And that's weird. It is only his ninth bird in his career in the fourth. Along with No. 1, it is the hole he has fought the most on Augusta National.

Tiger clearly is not enjoying the fifth elongated hole at Augusta National. Two days, two bogeys. So the one he got in No. 4 with a little bird that he quickly returned with a bogey in No. 5.

Tiger erases his bogey at n. ° 5 with his second birdie of the day. He rolls on a 20 foot foot on the sixth hole of par 3, complete with putter lift and mini fist pump.

Tiger loses a birdie attempt at No. 7. He was aggressive with the shot. He goes to number 8. He could not birdie in the par 5 second. I can not miss two opportunities in the first nine.

You have to take advantage of the par 5s at Augusta National. Paris are giving away shots to the field. Bogeys, well, that's a big no-no. However, that is exactly what Tiger has just done after hitting his tee ball in the bunker at No. 8. Play the first two nine par 5s at 1.

Tiger Woods receives the roar of the crowd and recognizes them with a fist pump after his birdie on the sixth hole.

Example of why golf does not make sense: Tiger does a bad, bad bogey in the n. 8. Touch a regular focus on the n. 9, leaving himself 37 feet up the hill. Of course, he does that. So he cancels a poor bogey with an unlikely birdie. He takes turns at 1-under 35 and sits four behind the leaders.

No. 10: Par 4, 495 yards.

Punctuation: Pair

Tiger has come to the disaster-free part of the golf course. The only goal is to pbad the numbers 10 and 11 without a large number. He makes the pair at 10. Now he goes to Amen Corner.

Tiger Woods falls into a difficult putt on the ninth hole to secure the bird and return to 3-under at the Masters.

So much to play conservatively in one of the most difficult holes at Augusta National. Tiger takes an aggressive line on his second shot and then rolls on the putt for the first birdie of the day by anyone in the 11th. Now he is at 4 low, three behind the lead.

No. 12: Par 3, 155 yards

Punctuation: Pair

Out of the weather delay, Tiger had a great foul in the No. 12. He was just 5 feet after putting his tee shot in par 3. He missed. If he expected to maintain his momentum after the brief pause, that did not help.

Those four green jackets hung in Tiger's closet were largely won at par 5 of Augusta National. He is the owner of them. Not this week. After a pair in the 13th, he is still 1 over the par 5s today and only 1 below the seven he has played in two rounds.

A wild scene in No. 14. The tiger in the trees left him, hit his shot and a security person following the group ran forward to keep the customers back and slipped on the damp ground and caught the right foot of Woods. Tiger limps ahead. An unreal sequence

Nick Pietruszkiewicz, ESPN.com2h ago

If Tiger Woods somehow wins his fifth green jacket, they will all point to the 14th hole in the second round. Tee shot in the trees. Wild recovery at 20 feet. He runs for a security guard who slips on the damp ground and collides with his right leg, which causes Tiger to let go. Finally, of course, he makes the birdie putt.

Tiger Woods finally makes a birdie on par 5. Then, after failing at No. 12 and No. 13, the literal confrontation with a security guard at 14 seems to have awakened him. A great first pump after rolling in a long bird at number 15.

With the possibility that Tiger tied for the lead, he could not persuade his 10-foot bird with 17. At 17. He will go to No. 18 a shot from behind.
