A man fatally beaten by a high-speed train in Florida, says the police

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – Florida's new high-speed train has caused another fatality, reports CBS Miami. Authorities say a man was hit by a train in South Florida.

The Delray Beach Police Department said on Twitter that a pedestrian was attacked Sunday by a Brightline train northbound about 100 meters south of a junction.

died at the scene, police said.

The police asked the witnesses to call them with information.

At 12:47 p.m. A Brightline train north struck a pedestrian approximately 100 feet south of the Southeast 4th Street intersection. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by DBPD. All witnesses are urged to call DBPD Det. Joseph Hart 243-7800.

This is the fourth person the train attacked and killed since the service began between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. year. Three others were beaten and survived.

Train officials said last month they increased safety measures, warning people that this train travels faster than other trains pbading through the area.
