7 hilarious black hole memes in social networks

The first image of a black hole has been captured, which represents an important step forward in our understanding of them. The black hole in question, M87 *, was captured by the Horizon Telescope of the Event (EHT) and caused a stir.

The reaction on social networks was predictably "interesting", and we've compiled some of the funniest ones for your enjoyment. Enjoy!

What does the image of the black hole look like?

Many waited with great expectation for the discovery of the first image of a black hole. But, for members of the general public, the final image may seem a bit disappointing.

Looking more like a blurred image of muffin or donut, it is actually very similar to the predictions made by physicists.

Needless to say, this is an impressive achievement for all involved and marks an interesting step forward in our understanding of black holes in general.

How did people react to the image on social networks?

Inevitably, many people went to social networks to express their initial ideas on this transcendental occasion. While many paid homage to Dr. Katie Bouman, others let their imagination overcome them.

From references to some of the most evil characters in science fiction and fantasy, many more seem to have noticed their resemblance to some common foods.

The internet is definitely a funny bag of nonsense at times.

These are some of the most common and fun memes about the EHT Black Hole we have found. Trust us; There are many, many more out there.

1. Many believe that we have finally found evidence of Sauron

Does anyone else see that this black hole is Sauron's eye? We bad! #EHTBlackHole pic.twitter.com/LTbsKAnJvo

The first captured image of a black hole is certainly an impressive scientific achievement, but it may not be good news. Many believe that we can be in the sights of great evil.

Sauron, the Dark Lord, far from being a product of J.R.R. Tolkien's imagination could be a real entity. Not only that, it seems that it has Earth directly in its sights!

If this is true, we should begin to prepare for the inevitable battle for Earth. We'd better call the Rohirrim and call Gandalf by phone …

Spooky to say the least! Or, of course, just a little fun, we'll let you make your own opinion.

2. Or, perhaps, it is an even greater evil.

#EHTBlackHole it was not really a black hole pic.twitter.com/MN4jNZlx1l

Leaving aside the references to the Lord of the Rings, some have even claimed that it is definitive proof of the existence of the Mariposa Galactus. This ancient mortal and cosmic entity can consume planets at will and could have its eye of accounts on Earth as its next meal.

He is often depicted as a divine figure whose motives are known only to him and he has little or no respect for mortal beings. What is good to know.

Galactus was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and appeared for the first time in Marvel comics in the mid-sixties. Since then, he has become one of the main characters of the Marvel Universe.

It seems, however, that it can be more than science fiction …

If it's true, there's little we can do to stop it. It could be the time to make peace with your gods!

3. Or maybe the black hole represents an even greater threat to the Universe

Guys, I amplified and improved the image of the black hole and it is worse than we feared pic.twitter.com/Z4Yf7wQmjw

If you are not frightened by the prospect of the discovery of Sauron or Galactus, it could be an even darker and much more sinister creature. Could it, could it be, just a proof of the existence of one of the most wicked and conceited creatures ever created: Jar Jar Binks?

God help us all if this is true. Jar Jar Binks, far from being a comically inept Gungan from the planet Naboo, is believed to be one of the most powerful Sith Lords of all time.

His mastery of the dark side of force surpbades even that of the malevolent Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine). Hidden behind the facade of an adorable and choppy "hero", he has manipulated the main events of history to adapt to his dark ambitions.

If it is true, you will want M87 * to be the eye of Sauron or Galactus …

4. Or could it be the test of a giant donut?

I used the Photoshop motion reduction filter in the Black Hole photo and was amazed by the result#EHTBlackHole pic.twitter.com/RLBPyuIx3T

– Paul Scott Canavan (@abigbat) April 10, 2019

Leaving aside the fear, we could finally have a test of a huge galactic donut. The similarity is, frankly, strange.

This finding is produced thanks to one Paul Scott Canavan, who was able to clean the image to reveal its true, delicious shape. Such a huge piece of confectionery requires immediate space exploration programs to ensure it is used for the benefit of humanity.

We must not allow such an enormous article of the desert to fall into the hands of alien races. Who knows that the destiny of humanity is such a catastrophe should happen.

Nom, nom.

5. Are not you a fan of donuts? Maybe it's a giant muffin?

This photo of the black hole is impressive, but wait … Improvement! Hmm, improve! Once again, improve! Whoa The biggest raisin bun with cinnamon in the world, and it's still hot! #EHT #EventHorizonTelescope pic.twitter.com/aPDVtLHF2u

– Gabor Heja (@gheja_) April 10, 2019

Speculations about the nature of this black hole and its resemblance to food are two cents. Another particularly compelling suggestion is that it is not a donut, but a delicious giant bagel.

Other enthusiastic amateur astrophysicists were able to carry out some technical workshops to improve the image. What they managed to find was, frankly, impressive.

It seems, beyond reasonable doubt, that we are actually seeing an image of a galactic muffin the size of a serving. Not only that, but it seems to be a raisin roll with cinnamon!

We'll let the scientific community fight between them whether it's a donut or a muffin. But we must send an expedition immediately to claim it for the greater good.

6. Oh, but wait, it gets worse.

The biggest secret of the black hole was exposed. ? #BlackHole pic.twitter.com/FRUugECMUj

– Viktória Bogyová (@ veeallie1) April 10, 2019

A Viktória Bogyová made an interesting discovery about the black hole simply by moving away. This may seem obvious, but it seems that no one had thought of it before.

What was found was surprising. It seems that we are looking at one of the eyes of one of the most powerful and mysterious creatures in the Universe: a giant black cat!

Let's hope, for the good of all, that this is a friendly one. We do not want to be your next toy the size of a planet.

Maybe we can distract him with some of our most powerful lasers?

7. Or is it proof that Mewtwo really exists?

What I have been waiting for all these years, several things of my interest are the trends on Twitter, can I finally reach the … normative? ?#Mewtwo #BlackHole ? pic.twitter.com/IjV05T70Gs

– NeΘ (@Neothetaa) April 11, 2019

As impressive as all these suggestions have been, one of our favorites was made by NeO on Twitter. He and others believe that we may be seeing the real proof of the existence of one of the least known and most powerful pokemon of all time.

If it's true, we've finally proved the existence of nothing less than Mewtwo. While this may sound like something to celebrate, the image of the black hole could be the first sign of our imminent death.

It is possible that we have captured the image of a giant Mewtwo in the midst of launching one of his most powerful attacks: the ball in the shade! What is worse, it seems that it is directed directly to our home planet.

Get ready, this is going to be a bit difficult (when it finally arrives).
