Today we have our first look at X-Men: Dark Phoenix the next film from the X-Men team that will transform the franchise in a big way. Marvel fans have been curious about how the cosmic story of Chris Claremont's "Dark Phoenix Saga" will change for the screen, and today we have our first hint of what the film will do differently.
At the first glance report on Dark Phoenix that was presented at EW, we get the breakdown of how the X-Men version of Phoenix will be born and how it relates to its origin Marvel Comics story:
" The X-Men, including Jean Gray (Sophie Turner), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), are heroes when the film begins and is sent to save some astronauts A solar flare hits the X-Jet and hell breaks loose . "

] You can probably guess where you're going from there, but the franchise producer X-Men and Dark Phoenix director Simon Kinberg reveals a little more detail about the new Phoenix origin story:
"Jean absorbs those solar flares and then the throws back into space, "explains director Simon Kinberg of the sequence shown in the previous exclusive conceptual art. "That's what triggers, awakens, creates this Phoenix force and voice within her." What seems to be a heroic victory of the X-Men to save people stranded in space is what begins to unravel Jean and reveal the secrets that Charles told him "
The sequence depicted and described above is a variation of the classic origin of Phoenix Marvel Comics In the original "Dark Phoenix Saga", Jean becomes Phoenix while trying to block dangerous levels of radiation, while the X-Men travel in a shuttle from the space of return When the powers of Jean can not weather the storm, she is attracted by the cosmic force of The Phoenix, which creates a body and a psyche based on Jean, and takes her place, while placing the real Jean in a refuge of stasis for security Eventually, the experiences of the Phoenix on Earth (and the manipulation of the evil Mastermind) cause the entity to have an emotional collapse, transforming into the Dark Phoenix.
he knows if the movie Dark Phoenix follows the origin of Marvel Comics to the letter, with the big twist that Phoenix-Jean does not sacrifice herself as Dark Phoenix, but wakes up from her Shelter of stasis at the bottom of a bay. It's just one of several questions about how much of Dark Phoenix's convoluted story will come to the screen. We also learned that Jessica Chastain could play the role of Mastermind in the film, so now, Dark Phoenix is seen as one of the most faithful X-Men movie adaptations ever.
The X -Men Movie Universe continues with The New Mutants on April 13; Untitled Deadpool Sequel on June 1; and X-Men: Dark Phoenix on November 2.
