35 new deaths, 997 additional COVID-19 cases reported in New Mexico


The latest deaths include:

  • A male from Bernilillo County in the 60s. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.
  • A male from Bernilillo County in the 70s. The person was a resident of Las Palomas Center in Albuquerque.
  • A woman from Bernilillo County in the 80s. The person had underlying conditions and was a resident of the Sandia View Spain Assisted Living Facility in Albuquerque.
  • A male from Bernilillo County in the 80s. The person had underlying conditions.
  • A second male in the 80s from Bernilillo County. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.
  • A woman in her 70s from Cibola County. The man was a resident of the Good Samaritan Society facility in Grants.
  • A 90s woman from Cibola County. The man was a resident of the Good Samaritan Society facility in Grants.
  • A male from Curry County in the 70s. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.
  • A male in his 60s from Dona Ana County.
  • A male in his 70s from Donna Ana County. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition. The man was a resident of the Caliber Segest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Las Cruce.
  • A woman in her 80s from Donna Ana County.
  • A second woman from Dona Ana County in the 80s. The person had underlying conditions and was a resident of the village at the Northrise facility in Las Cruces.
  • A woman from Lee County in the 90s. The person had underlying conditions and was a resident of Lavington Healthcare Facility in Lavington.
  • A male in his 50s from McKinley County. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.
  • A male in his 60s from McKinley County. The person was hospitalized.
  • A 70s woman from McKinley County. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.
  • A male from Otero County in the 70s. The person was hospitalized.
  • A woman from Sandoval County in the 60s. The individual had underlying conditions and was a resident of the Elmcroft of Quintessence facility in Albuquerque.
  • A male from Sandoval County in his 60s. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.
  • A second male in his 60s from Sandoval County. The individual had underlying conditions and was a resident of The Retreat Healthcare facility in Rio Rancho.
  • A male in the 80s of Sandoval County. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.
  • A woman in her 50s from San Juan County. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.
  • A second woman in her 50s from San Juan County. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.
  • A woman in her 60s from San Juan County. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.
  • A male in his 70s from San Juan County. The person was hospitalized.
  • A woman in her 90s from San Juan County. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.
  • A male in the 90s from San Juan County. The person had underlying conditions.
  • A woman in her 50s from Santa Fe County. The person was hospitalized.
  • A woman from Santa Fe County in the 60s. The person had underlying conditions.
  • A woman in her 80s from Santa Fe County. The person was hospitalized.
  • A male in his 80s from Santa Fe County. The person had underlying conditions.
  • A male in the 90s from Santa Fe County. This person was a resident of the Pacific Senior Living facility in Santa Fe.
  • A woman in her 50s from Sierra County. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition. The person was a resident of Sierra Health Care Center in Truth or Consequences.
  • A male in the 80s from Sierra County. The person was a resident of the New Mexico State Veterans Home in Truth or Consequences.
  • A male in his 50s from Valencia County. The person was hospitalized and had an underlying condition.

The number of deaths in New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 3,044.

In addition to the deaths, the state reported 997 additional COVID-19 cases. As of Thursday, New Mexico has reported a total of 166,823 cases.

The latest cases include:

  • 232 new cases in Bernilillo County.
  • 59 new cases in Chaves County
  • 12 new cases in Cibola County
  • 5 new cases in Coalfax County
  • 28 new cases in Curry County
  • 1 new case in de Baca County
  • 125 new cases in Dona Ana County.
  • 50 new cases in Eddie County
  • 6 new cases in Grant County
  • 1 new case in Guadalupe County
  • 5 new cases in Hidalgo County
  • 34 new cases in Lee County
  • 19 new cases in Lincoln County
  • 5 new cases in Los Alamos County
  • 34 new cases in Luna County
  • 92 new cases in McKinley County.
  • 29 new cases in Otero County
  • 3 new cases in Quay County
  • 21 new cases in Rio Ariba County
  • 5 new cases in Roosevelt County
  • 51 new cases in Sandoval County.
  • 80 new cases in San Juan County
  • 7 new cases in San Miguel County
  • 39 new cases in Santa Fe County
  • 2 new cases in Sierra County
  • 6 new cases in Socorro County
  • 9 new cases in Taos County
  • 1 new case in Torrance County
  • 23 new cases in Valencia County
  • 3 new cases among individuals held by federal agencies at the Cibola County Correctional Center
  • 10 new cases among New Mexico Department of Corrections inmates of New Mexico’s peninsula in Santa Fe County

KOB 4 determined that the tests analyzed in the state’s Thursday report had a 7.2% positivity result.

The state reports that 644 people are currently being treated for COVID-19 in a hospital. The number may include individuals who tested positive out of state for COVID-19 but are hospitalized in New Mexico.

As of Thursday, there are 91,096 COVID-19 cases that have been recovered by the New Mexico Department of Health.
